Our client in the Oklahoma City, OK metroplex is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Accounting Department! The Staff Accountant will have experience in the following.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Maintains accounting records in conformance with general accepted accounting principles
- Conduct general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel
- Support financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts
- Processes accounts receivable and payable transactions
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in staff accounting or related field
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is highly preferred, but Associates' degree in accounting or related field is a plus
- CPA license or equivalent is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge or working experience with financial accounting softwares a plus
- Thorough understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
