Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Type: Full Time/Contract to Hire
Pay: $27-36/hour, depending on experience
Our client in the Oklahoma City, OK metroplex is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Accounting Department! The Staff Accountant will have experience in the following.
Job Description and Duties:
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support preparation of financial statements and internal reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Assist with audits, both internal and external
- Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed
- Provide analysis and support to management regarding financial performance
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience (internships or public accounting experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience preferred)
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
