Job Title: Accountant
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Type: Full Time/Contract to Hire
Pay: $30-50/hour, depending on experience
Our client in the Oklahoma City, OK metroplex is seeking a strong senior-level Accountant to join their Accounting Department! The accountant will have experience in the following.
Job Description and Duties:
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations to management
- Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master's or CPA preferred)
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or corporate finance
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience a plus (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
