Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: on-site in South Norman, OK

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Pay: $30.00 - 35.00/hour, depending on experience

Position Overview: We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support the accounting team with day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general ledger activities, reconciliations, invoicing, and payroll support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while collaborating with internal teams.

This position is on-site, with a Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger account balances and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare customer billing and perform payment reconciliations
• Collaborate with operational personnel to support accounting functions
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and calculate month-end accruals
• Follow and document company internal controls and accounting procedures
• Coordinate with accounting staff across related entities regarding intercompany payables and receivables
• Participate in internal and external financial audits
• Assist with accounting projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred; however, a degree in a related field and relevant work experience will also be considered
• Minimum 2 years of accounting work experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred, but not required
