Accounting Assistant
Location: Hybrid (Tues & Wed onsite in Boston, MA)

Overview:
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to support a dynamic team with tasks related to financial disbursements and administrative duties. This role will involve data entry, processing transactions, and providing support to internal teams and donors. The position is hybrid, with two days a week onsite in Boston.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to inquiries and requests via email and assist team members with communications.
• Manage the disbursement process, reviewing donor submissions for accuracy.
• Research and verify the eligibility of charities for grant distributions.
• Ensure vendor and contractor bank account information is accurate and complete.
• Prepare reports and materials for review by the development committee.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and mail handling.
• Maintain databases for donor and endowment information, including updates to contact details.
• Provide timely responses to staff and donor inquiries.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
