Accounting Manager (Hybrid) - Cambridge, MA
Our client, a company in the life sciences sector, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a hybrid role supporting general accounting, financial reporting, and internal compliance. This individual will play a key role in month-end close activities, technical accounting analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with finance and business teams.
This is a high-visibility individual contributor role involving journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, with some oversight of capital project tracking and time reporting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze and explain SG&A variances and collaborate with FP&A on actual vs. budget trends
- Support business partners with vendor management and spend tracking
- Manage capital asset reporting and support related projects and disposals
- Administer time tracking systems, including compliance training and communications
- Prepare regular fluctuation and variance analysis for reporting cycles
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience; CPA strongly preferred
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
