Staff Accountant - Hybrid / Portland, ME
Our client, a growing organization in the real estate development industry, is seeking a Staff Accountant for a 3-6 month temporary assignment with potential to convert. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions across multiple business segments and assist with vendor management and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume AP and AR transactions across three business units
- Maintain vendor records and ensure W-9s and contact info are accurate
- Communicate with vendors regarding payments and account issues
- Support efforts to move accounting workflows from paper to electronic systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of AP/AR experience
- Familiarity with vendor management and payment processes
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems; RealPage, AppFolio, and QuickBooks Desktop a plus
