Our client, a leading research and technology organization, is seeking an Accountant to support their finance team on a contract basis. This role focuses on accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor accuracy of general ledger activity.
- Assist with grant and contract billing and support collections reporting.
- Respond to internal and external audit requests as needed.
- Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with SAP and strong Excel skills.
