Beacon Hill Financial is searching for a contract to hire Senior Accountant for our client in the Springfield, Missouri area. This role is paying up to $75,000 annually (equivalent hourly while on contract) and will be 4 days in office and 1 day remote a week after training. Quickbooks and International Accounting or Currency experience is highly preferred (but not required. If interested in hearing more about this positin, please apply.
Job Duties
- Manage month-end and year-end closing process.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements (income statement and balance sheet)
- Monitor cash flow
- Research and provide detailed explanations to variances between actual and budget monthly.
- Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
- Develop and implement internal controls and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Participate in the annual audit process with external auditors.
- Continuously evaluate accounting policies and procedures for efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting
- Spanish is not essential for this role, but familiarity with the language is advantageous.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
