Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization in downtown Boston is seeking a Development Associate for a 3+ month hybrid contract (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). The position pays $23/hour, with full-time hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The organization focuses on the enhancement, preservation, and programming of a historic public space and is preparing for a major capital campaign.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the DonorPerfect database, ensuring data quality and consistent entry
- Conduct daily gift processing, tracking, and reconciliation with accounting and development teams
- Coordinate donor research, gift acknowledgments, pledge tracking, and regular reporting
- Support cultivation and stewardship efforts including mailings, events, and email appeals
- Provide logistical and administrative support for fundraising events, including the annual Moondance Gala
- Collaborate with senior leadership and campaign committees for ongoing development initiatives
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit development or database management
- Advanced proficiency in DonorPerfect (required)
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles and development operations
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Constant Contact, and other standard development tools
