Part-time HR Manager
Location: Onsite in Newton (3 days/week)
A community organization in Newton, MA, is looking for a part-time HR Manager to join their team. This role will work 20-25 hours/week, with flexibility for working 3 full days or 4-5 shorter days onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain and update HR policies, including the employee handbook
- Support payroll changes and benefits administration, including health insurance and retirement plans
- Lead recruitment and onboarding by managing job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, onboarding paperwork, and new hire orientation
- Develop and maintain a training schedule, assist in performance review processes, and support employee development initiatives
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, workplace issues, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of HR experience
- Significant knowledge of employment laws & HR compliance
