Job Title: Night Shift Construction Manager - Combustion Turbine Projects
Location: Neenah, WI
Schedule: Night Shift
Employment Type: Contract (with potential for extension)
Travel: Yes, on-site work required
Reports To: Manager or Director


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Construction Manager to lead on-site activities for large-scale combustion turbine construction projects. This individual will be responsible for the full scope of field operations, including safety compliance, construction quality, startup and performance testing, and alignment with schedule and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep background in power generation or turbine-based construction, and experience working with major OEMs in combustion turbine environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage nightly on-site construction operations to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant project execution.

  • Monitor and guide contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable regulations (OSHA, DOT, DNR, etc.).

  • Lead and promote a strong safety culture; investigate and report incidents, and coordinate with safety personnel to enforce company-wide protocols.

  • Oversee quality assurance and control measures; continuously assess construction progress and contractor performance.

  • Act as the on-site liaison with contractors, local government, community stakeholders, and internal project teams.

  • Provide timely progress updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding safety, scheduling, production, risks, and financial status.

  • Support punch list development and validation of contractor milestone completions.

  • Contribute to project scheduling, equipment procurement coordination, and support permitting processes.

  • Perform regular reporting and documentation of site activity and compliance issues during night operations.

  • Supervise and lead professional staff, union workers, and subcontractor personnel during night shift.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in construction-related roles, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.

  • Strong knowledge of combustion turbine systems and operations; experience with major OEMs highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership in construction project environments, including union workforce supervision.

  • Proven experience in safety enforcement, quality oversight, and field-based issue resolution.

  • Strong computer proficiency with project management, reporting, and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Word).

  • Valid driver's license and ability to work night shifts.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical field.

  • Experience in large electric/gas construction, turbine installation, or energy infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with startup, commissioning, and environmental testing of turbine systems.

  • Demonstrated experience managing outages or shutdown projects at power generation facilities.


Shift & Project Details:

  • This is a night shift role to support upcoming outages at combustion turbine facilities, specifically during:

    • Summer 2025

    • Spring 2026
