Job Title: FieldTech Support
Location: Madison, WI (100% onsite)
Duration: Contract through 6/30/2027 with potential extensions
Start Date: Late June
Work Authorization: Must be able to work onsite in WI (no relocation)
Interview Process: In-person interview required
Overview:
Madison-based government org is seeking a FieldTech Support resource to provide desktop support across their central office and field facilities. This role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting end-user devices while supporting hardware refresh initiatives and day-to-day technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop/laptop issues (onsite and remote support)
- Image, configure, and deploy new devices
- Support device setup and provide end-user assistance
- Maintain asset inventory and handle equipment lifecycle/recycling
- Manage and close tickets within the DOC ticketing system
- Support field locations periodically (travel required within WI)
- Follow DOC processes, policies, and technical standards
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience with:
- Remote troubleshooting
- End-user support and customer interaction
- Device imaging and deployment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Must be comfortable with physical requirements (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing up to 8 hours as needed)
Nice to Have:
- AV integration experience
Additional Details:
- Based at Central Office in Madison, with occasional travel to other facilities
- Mileage reimbursement or access to state vehicle when traveling
- Flexible scheduling options (4x10s, 5x8s, or 9-hour schedule with rotating day off)
