Job Title: Wealth Management Accounting Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wealth Management Accounting Manager to support accounting operations within a financial services-oriented environment. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, managing and developing a team, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple accounts and entities. The Accounting Manager will partner with internal stakeholders and external service providers while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and service delivery.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a service-oriented mindset. This individual is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, improving processes, and balancing hands-on execution with oversight responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations supporting wealth management-related activities
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reconciliations, and cash reporting
- Support internal and external stakeholder inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate accounting activities across multiple accounts, entities, or structures
- Partner with external providers related to tax, compliance, and reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Review and approve banking and cash movement activity as required
- Prepare reports, analyses, and materials to support leadership and special initiatives
Qualifications
- 6-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- People management experience is required
- CPA required; advanced degree preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience within wealth management, financial services, professional services, or a multi-entity environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced spreadsheet functionality
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, service-driven environment
- Ability to work onsite full time and travel occasionally as needed
