Our client, a well-established construction company with a strong reputation for quality and integrity, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations

• Maintain and review general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness

• Process job cost entries and support project accounting functions

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements

• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes as needed

• Prepare financial reports and assist with budget tracking for multiple projects

• Partner with project managers to ensure proper cost allocation and reporting

• Assist with audits, tax filings, and other financial reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 4+ years of accounting experience (construction industry experience preferred)

• Solid understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting

• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage 300 (Timberline), or similar construction accounting software

• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a project-driven environment
