Client Accounting Associate - Family Office Services
Location: Norfolk, Virginia (Hybrid - 2 days remote after training)
We are partnering with a leading independent wealth advisory firm to identify a Client Accounting Associate to join their Family Office Services team in Norfolk. This individual will support a portfolio of high-net-worth clients by managing bill pay, maintaining financial records, and preparing client reports. The ideal candidate brings a blend of bookkeeping, accounting, and client service experience, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage client bill pay activities using firm-defined systems and processes
Track and reconcile client account balances to ensure sufficient funds for upcoming charges
Prepare monthly bill-pay reconciliation reports and deliverables for client review
Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc transaction reports from QuickBooks and/or Quicken
Prepare annual informational tax filings (e.g., 1099s, W-2s)
Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned client accounts and preferences
Communicate directly with clients and their professional advisors as needed
Support additional family office service needs as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (family office experience a plus)
Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook
Experience working directly with clients and managing multiple priorities
Familiarity with Ramp or Bill.com is a plus
Highly organized, dependable, and team-oriented
