The New York City Office of a boutique class action claims management firm operating within the global litigation finance industry is looking for a Claims Administration Specialist. The organization specializes in identifying, analyzing, and filing complex class action claims on behalf of corporate clients. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully in a high-impact role at a firm that values operational excellence, integrity, and collaboration. You'll work directly with industry professionals, have visibility across departments, and play a pivotal role in shaping outcomes for clients.
The Claims Administration Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of class action claims. The person in this position serves as a key liaison between the company and external parties, including settlement administrators and class counsel, to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of class action litigation claims. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, legal document comprehension, and professional communication capabilities.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
* Analyze court documents, settlement agreements, and related legal materials to extract pertinent information for claim processing
* Maintain detailed records of communications and documentation for each settlement
* Coordinate internally and externally to ensure smooth, efficient claim processing
* Communicate directly with clients and internal lines of business
* Build and maintain key relationships with claim administrators
* Identify insights and draw relevant conclusions from historical data and research
* Monitor, track, and work with claim administrators to collect data and position each claim for an efficient and accurate recovery
* Assist with the management of deficiency notices and coordinate with the administration firms
Requirements & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree
* 4+ years of relevant experience in operations, legal support, or a related area
* Experience in the class action or legal industry preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Salesforce highly preferred
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment
