A well-known New York City Law Firm is looking for an Assistant Managing Clerk to be an integral part of the Litigation Practice and provide guidance as well as instruction to the Firm's legal staff concerning the management of legal papers, service of process and filing in both state and federal courts. You must have knowledge of the various court systems and their electronic filing programs.

Responsibilities:
* Liaise with court personnel related to the service, filing and retrieval of papers
* Arrange and manage service of process with outside vendors
* Distribute court documents and status updates to attorneys and legal assistants
* Preparation of documents for electronic filing in state and federal courts in compliance with each individual Court's specifications, including hyperlinking and bookmarking
* Filing documents in the state and federal courts' electronic filing systems
* Enter litigation documents and create calendar deadline reminders in Case Management Docketing System
* Provide guidance to attorneys and legal assistants on local, state, and federal filing procedures, including attorneys' admissions and pro hac vice applications
* Knowledge of the Federal and State Court Rules
* Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of three years of experience in a law firm's Managing Attorney or Clerk's Office
* Knowledge of CourtAlert's Case Management Docketing System; PACER E-Law and Lexis Court Link Dockets
* Knowledge of FRCP and CPLR and related local rules Proficient in searching and retrieving information and documents from court-based electronic programs - PACER, NYSCEF, etc.
* Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat required with Excel knowledge
* Hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. But must be willing to come o
* Flexible schedule with a minimum of two to three days a week in the office
* Willing to work overtime as required
