New York City Office of medium sized firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance Paralegal to join its Real Estate practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on sophisticated commercial transactions, including loan closings, acquisitions, and development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of real estate finance transactions, including due diligence, title and survey review, and closing coordination
- Draft and revise closing checklists, closing binders, and related documentation
- Review and summarize loan documents, leases, and other real estate agreements
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, and clients to facilitate smooth closings
- Manage post-closing activities, including document recording and file organization
- Maintain transaction timelines and ensure deadlines are met
- Support attorneys with research and preparation of legal materials
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of paralegal experience in a law firm, with a strong focus on real estate finance
- Familiarity with commercial loan documentation and closing procedures
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strongly preferred: (1) Bachelor's degree, (2) Paralegal certificate or Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, or (3) Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation
