Estate Planning Legal Assistant

Estate Planning Practice Group

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Estate Planning Assistant to support its Estate Planning Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients on sophisticated estate planning and estate administration matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Estate Planning Assistant plays a key role in supporting attorneys through the preparation, organization, and administration of complex estate planning documents and client matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and enjoys regular client interaction while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, and finalize estate planning and estate administration documents

  • Coordinate client communications and assist with scheduling and follow-up

  • Manage deadlines and maintain organized electronic and physical files

  • Support attorneys with trust funding, probate, and related administrative tasks

  • Assist with data entry, document management, and reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • 2 years+ of experience supporting estate planning and estate administration matters in a law firm setting

  • Strong proficiency in WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, and Excel

  • Experience with WealthCounsel, Time Matters, and Juris is a plus

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Professional, positive, and personable demeanor with strong communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
