Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join a mid-sized law firm local to Chicago. This is a full time, permanent position, 37.5-hour work week, HYBRID schedule, in office 2-3 days a week, full benefits, and competitive compensation!
Skills required and Job Duties include the following:
- Minimum 6+ years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm environment
- Support all stages of real estate transactions, including title and survey review, due diligence, document preparation/negotiation, closing coordination, and post-closing administration
- Review and summarize title commitments, exception documents, UCC searches, and surveys; draft title/survey objection letters
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, surveyors, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure efficient closings
- Prepare closing checklists, track contingencies, and manage all pre- and post-closing tasks
- Assist with real estate financing transactions, including loan documentation, escrow instructions, and disbursement statements
- Form and maintain entities for real estate deals (LLCs, LPs, etc.); obtain EINs and good standing certificates
- Additional duties as assigned to support attorneys and transactional teams
