We are seeking a REMOTE Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join a national law firm's Seattle Office.While this role is fully remote, candidates must be located in the Seattle area and able to commute to the office when and IF needed.

This is a full time, non-exempt position, full benefits, and competitive compensation (ranging from $100K- $130K).

Required Skills and Job Duties include the following:

As a Patent Paralegal, you'll play a key role in supporting attorneys through all stages of U.S. and international patent prosecution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment that values collaboration, precision, and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and other patent paralegals and specialists on domestic and international patent matters.
  • Demonstrate and apply in-depth knowledge of patent filing and prosecution practices in the USPTO, PCT, and major jurisdictions worldwide.
  • Prepare and file U.S. and foreign patent applications, information disclosure statements, and other USPTO filings
  • Manage patent portfolios and track deadlines using firm docketing systems
  • Conduct patent status checks and coordinate filings with foreign associates
  • Review and process correspondence from clients, inventors, and the USPTO
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date patent records and databases
  • Assist with annuities, assignments, and other IP-related documentation

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in U.S. and international patent prosecution (law firm experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of USPTO rules, procedures, and electronic filing systems (PAIR, EFS-Web, Patent Center)
  • Experience managing technology-focused patent portfolios (software, electronics, telecommunications, etc.)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred
