Legal Assistant / Paralegal
Join a collaborative team and work alongside an experienced litigator in a well-respected St. Louis law firm.

Beacon Hill Legal is working with a prominent law firm in Clayton, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support a seasoned litigator handling personal injury and commercial litigation matters in both Missouri and Illinois.

This is a unique opportunity to receive hands-on training and mentorship as you transition into a role currently held by a retiring team member. The firm is looking for someone with foundational legal skills who is eager to grow within a supportive environment.


What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents in Missouri and Illinois courts.

  • Support litigation and real estate matters through research and case preparation.

  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring documents are current and accessible.

  • Coordinate with clients, courts, and other parties to schedule meetings, depositions, and hearings.

  • Draft legal correspondence and documents under attorney supervision.

  • Maintain attorney calendars, track important deadlines, and ensure timely filings.


What We're Looking For:

  • Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, ideally with litigation or real estate exposure.

  • Experience filing in Missouri courts is required; Illinois filing knowledge is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
