Legal Administrative Assistant - Litigation | Clayton, MO
Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a well-respected mid-sized law firm in Clayton to hire an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support their busy litigation practice.

Position Overview:
This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join a highly regarded team. The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide a blend of administrative and light paralegal support to attorneys handling complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage case files from inception through resolution, ensuring accuracy and proper organization of documents.

  • Assist with drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other documents.

  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, and meetings, including scheduling, confirming attendance, and preparing supporting materials.

  • Conduct document review and prepare deposition summaries and case chronologies as needed.

  • Handle client communication and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Prepare and process subpoenas, executions, and garnishments.

  • Assist with e-filing and traditional court filings at the state and federal level.

  • Conduct legal, title, and records research as requested by attorneys.

  • Transcribe dictation and assist with general administrative and litigation support tasks.

  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure deadlines are met and case progress is maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm, preferably supporting litigation attorneys.

  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional demeanor, reliability, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
