A well-established civil defense law firm is seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to support a busy litigation practice and contribute to the successful representation of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.

• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.

• Manage case files and maintain organized, accurate documentation.

• Coordinate and track deadlines, court filings, and scheduling of depositions, hearings, and trials.

• Review, analyze, and summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and other case materials.

• Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy.

• Communicate with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed.

• Provide trial preparation support, including exhibit organization and witness coordination.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of paralegal experience, with a strong preference for personal injury and/or railroad litigation.

• Solid knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general litigation support technology.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
