Beacon Hill Legal is working on a unique role with a consulting firm that specializes in procuring insurance for commercial real estate companies. The company is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Risk Management Associate to join their team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a J.D. who is looking to apply their legal training in a business-focused, client-facing environment - without the pressure of tracking billable hours. You'll evaluate complex insurance policy language, legal documentation, and contracts to support their clients in mitigating risk and securing appropriate insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive insurance policy and contract language reviews

• Analyze legal and risk-related issues in client contracts

• Review loan documents, lease agreements, and other real estate-related legal documents

• Identify potential coverage gaps and recommend mitigation strategies

• Collaborate with internal consultants and external stakeholders to support client deliverables

• Contribute to ad hoc projects related to real estate risk, compliance, and insurance placement

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school

• At least 2 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on the insurance industry

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Proficient in interpreting legal and insurance documents

Preferred Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Proactive approach to work and ability to take initiative

• Experience in commercial real estate or insurance brokerage

• Familiarity with contract negotiation or risk management strategies
