Beacon Hill's client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking Contract Attorneys to support their Product Liability team (Drug, Device, and Consumer Product focus) with numerous remote depositions.

• Location: Remote (Candidates must be licensed in California and have prior experience handling this type of work in California)
  • Optional: Work from the firm's Century City or San Diego offices a few days per week if desired
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 6+ months, with the potential to extend (Concurrent employment not permitted)
• Hours: 40 hours per week (must be available during Pacific Time business hours)

Qualifications:

• Active California bar license in good standing required
• 2+ years litigation experience, including deposition and basic pleadings (e.g., answers, demurrers, motions to strike)
• Relevant experience in product liability, personal injury, or medical malpractice
  • Please note: Candidates whose litigation experience is primarily in workers' compensation or focused on asbestos-related matters involving pipes and cement will not be considered a fit for this role.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state procedural rules
• Professional, communicative, and able to handle a high degree of autonomy with minimal oversight
• Highly motivated to be part of an active trial practice, demonstrate initiative, assume responsibility for client matters, and exhibit the interpersonal skills to work well as part of a large, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct 2-3 virtual plaintiff depositions per week (remotely)
• Handling the related pleadings
