Beacon Hill's client, a publicly operated health plan serving residents across Los Angeles County, is seeking a paralegal with strong litigation and preferably regulatory experience in a healthcare or managed care setting. The role involves document review, discovery, legal research, drafting, and compliance support.
- Role: Litigation Paralegal - Healthcare/Managed Care
- Location: Los Angeles, CA 90017 (Hybrid - On-site 2-3 days per week)
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 24 weeks
- Hours: 40 hours/week (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., must be flexible as needed)
- Pay: $37-$42, depending on experience
Key Requirements:
- Paralegal certification required (advanced certification preferred)
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of paralegal experience
- Experience supporting civil, regulatory, or healthcare-related litigation (provider disputes, compliance, or investigations)
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Skilled in litigation support functions: discovery, document review, and legal document drafting
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, Medi-Cal, CMS, Knox-Keene, etc.)
Preferred Backgrounds:
- Experience in a healthcare, health plan, or managed care organization
- Experience with public agency regulations (Brown Act, California Public Records Act, conflict laws, etc.)
- Corporate litigation experience within a healthcare organization or healthcare-focused law firm
