Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with an international law firm seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Los Angeles office on a hybrid basis. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience supporting multiple attorneys in active litigation, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Assignment Details
- Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid - onsite schedule to be confirmed)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 4-8 weeks, with potential for conversion to direct hire
- Hours: Full-time
- Pay Rate: $36-$41/hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys
- Prepare, format, and proofread pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence
- Manage court filings in both California state and federal courts
- Coordinate discovery, document production, and trial preparation
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and case files
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in litigation, preferably within insurance defense
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal e-filing procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, take initiative, and work both independently and collaboratively
