Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with an Am Law 50 global law firm to identify a Trusts & Estates Paralegal for a long-term temp-to-hire opportunity in their San Diego (Del Mar) office.
This position supports a busy team handling probate matters, trust administration, and probate litigation. The firm is looking for a seasoned professional who can step into a high-volume workflow with strong drafting abilities, excellent organization, and California probate experience.

Role Summary
Temporary-to-hire Trusts & Estates Paralegal supporting probate, trust administration, and probate litigation matters. This is a long-term need with realistic potential to convert to permanent.
Top Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in:
- California probate court filings
- Trust administration
- Estate planning
- Probate litigation support
- Strong drafting abilities (petitions, pleadings, fiduciary accountings, estate and gift tax returns)
- Experience managing dockets, deadlines, and high-volume workflow
- Must meet California Paralegal requirements under Business & Professions Code §6450
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Nice to have: international estate planning experience
Work Expectations
- Hours: 37.5 per week
- High-volume mix of probate administration and probate litigation
- Systems: Microsoft Office; tax preparer software is a plus
Location & Schedule
- San Diego, CA (Del Mar)
- Parking provided
- Onsite requirement: 4 days per week
- Flexibility: Exceptional candidates may be considered at 3 days onsite
- Fully remote: We are open to reviewing exceptional fully remote candidates, as long as they have strong California probate and trusts experience.
Compensation
- Temp pay rate range: $46.53-$58.17/hr. DOE
- Temp-to-hire conversion salary: Approximately $90,733-$126,750/year DOE

- Start: ASAP (immediate need)
- Duration: Open-ended with potential to convert to direct hire
