Beacon Hill's client, a law firm known for providing tailored legal services to small and mid-sized businesses as well as large corporations, is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal. The firm offers support across a variety of practice areas, with a heavy emphasis on its Aviation group, airline defense, and Trusts & Estates litigation. It is also a majority woman-owned firm with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

  • Location: Onsite, Yakima, WA 98901
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: Open-ended with potential for direct hire
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM (flexible to 8 AM - 5 PM); 40-hour work week
  • Hourly pay: $34-$44/hour, depending on experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 4+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
  • eDiscovery experience is a plus
  • Substantive knowledge of legal terminology and court rules and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficiency using document review software
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with drafting and review of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Communicate with clients, advisors, opposing counsel, and other involved parties
  • Manage the collection, production, and review of high-volume discovery
  • Conduct legal and factual research
  • Summarize depositions, trial transcripts, and other legal documents
  • Provide onsite support at trials and hearings
  • Prepare exhibits and trial notebooks
  • Track and manage multiple deadlines
  • Organize case files and maintain client records
  • Coordinate filings in all levels of federal and state courts and administrative agencies
