Beacon Hill's client, a national law firm, is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to support their team. This role requires someone who is confident advising clients, drafting and updating policies and agreements, and handling research with minimal direction. Candidates must be both located and licensed in Washington. California experience is a plus and may increase weekly hours.
- Location: Remote (Candidates must be licensed and located in Washington)
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months with potential extension or conversion (Concurrent employment not permitted)
- Hours:
- 20-25 hours/week for Washington-only experience
- Up to 35-40 hours/week if the candidate also has California experience
- Pay: $90-$100/hour, depending on experience
Qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Washington State Bar; must reside in Washington
- 7+ years of labor and employment experience
- Strong advisory and counseling background
- Experience drafting and updating L&E policies and agreements
- Excellent research and analysis skills
- Writing sample required (memo or similar demonstrating legal analysis; pleadings not accepted)
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and counseling on labor and employment matters
- Conduct research for client requests and prepare written responses
- Draft and update employment agreements, handbooks, and policies
- Work independently with minimal oversight
- Communicate directly with clients as needed
