IT Manager - SAP Operations
Hybrid Positoin - Madison, WI
The IT Manager will report to the Senior IT Manager Business Delivery and lead a highly specialized platform team focused on the SAP suite of products.

Primary Responsibilities
The IT Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the SAP S4/HANA on RISE within the IT department and support the business objectives of the enterprise. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and manage a team providing SAP BASIS, Security, & Integration along with closely managing our long-term relationship with SAP. They will interact with their fellow peers within IT to ensure proper fiscal, operational, and coordinated business delivery while supporting the growth and well-being of their team.
- Manage the SAP security, cloud, BASIS, and integrations for this enterprise solution
- Effectively communicate with the business process owners (PBOs) and business teams
- Partner with Domain and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into functional / technical requirements.
- Manage relationship with delivery partners; communicates technical requirements, defines deliverables, and ensure execution success.
- Collaborates with IT Infrastructure & Operations to define Release plans.
- Partners with SAP RISE lead for project and run support
- Responsibility for planning and overseeing upgrades with the proper test plans and execution
- Ensure optimal use of the system and adherence to SAP license compliant
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, backups, disaster recover planning, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and adoption of new SAP technologies (e.g., analytics, automation, AI, & Integration)
- Establish and Lead incident management protocols in order to effectively respond to major incidents affecting SAP S4/HANA operations, ensuring rapid resolution, root cause analysis, and long-term prevention strategies that align with established SLA's.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Strong oral and written communication
- Extensive Experience Leading ERP Operational or Project Teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications
- Experience working with SAP S/4 HANA deployed on RISE
- Experience working in ERP project implementations
- Demonstrated expertise on SAP Basis, system administration, backup/recovery, system integration, and incident management.
- Proficiency in ITIL processes and best practices for IT Operations.
- Experience working with vendors, cloud-based solutions, product roadmaps, and support lifecycles
- 3-5 years SAP BASIS, Security, & Integration experience in a cloud environment
- SAP certification
- Ability to work within a transformational fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
