Business Intelligence (BI) Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Manager will lead the design, execution, and ongoing enhancement of BI solutions that support data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for the full BI lifecycle-from data acquisition and architecture to reporting, analytics, and visualization. The BI Manager will oversee a team of IT professionals and drive initiatives that ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and foster a data-centric culture company-wide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement a BI roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
Lead efforts in data architecture, including the creation and maintenance of data warehouses, data marts, lakes, and related platforms.
Select, deploy, and manage BI visualization tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Operations, Sales) to understand business needs and deliver customized BI solutions.
Oversee end-to-end BI project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
Maximize the value of existing BI tools while continuously seeking opportunities for refinement and innovation.
Leverage analytics to identify trends, solve business challenges, and uncover growth opportunities.
Advocate for a culture of data literacy and encourage the integration of BI insights in daily operations.
Lead and develop a team of BI analysts, developers, and data engineers.
Direct data analysis initiatives, including mining, forecasting, and advanced modeling, to provide actionable business intelligence.
Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visual tools that deliver accurate and timely insights to stakeholders.
Ensure high data quality, consistency, and reliability across platforms and systems.
Communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
Develop and uphold data governance standards, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance, security, and data integrity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in BI, analytics, or data management, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated success managing and mentoring BI teams.
Strong foundation in data modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture.
Proficiency in SQL and related data query languages.
Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
Familiarity with cloud data environments (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, Infor, Databricks).
Knowledge of data governance principles and regulatory compliance best practices.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
