Business Intelligence (BI) Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Manager will lead the design, execution, and ongoing enhancement of BI solutions that support data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for the full BI lifecycle-from data acquisition and architecture to reporting, analytics, and visualization. The BI Manager will oversee a team of IT professionals and drive initiatives that ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and foster a data-centric culture company-wide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement a BI roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and strategic goals.

• Lead efforts in data architecture, including the creation and maintenance of data warehouses, data marts, lakes, and related platforms.

• Select, deploy, and manage BI visualization tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).

• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Operations, Sales) to understand business needs and deliver customized BI solutions.

• Oversee end-to-end BI project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

• Maximize the value of existing BI tools while continuously seeking opportunities for refinement and innovation.

• Leverage analytics to identify trends, solve business challenges, and uncover growth opportunities.

• Advocate for a culture of data literacy and encourage the integration of BI insights in daily operations.

• Lead and develop a team of BI analysts, developers, and data engineers.

• Direct data analysis initiatives, including mining, forecasting, and advanced modeling, to provide actionable business intelligence.

• Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visual tools that deliver accurate and timely insights to stakeholders.

• Ensure high data quality, consistency, and reliability across platforms and systems.

• Communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.

• Develop and uphold data governance standards, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance, security, and data integrity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in BI, analytics, or data management, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.

• Demonstrated success managing and mentoring BI teams.

• Strong foundation in data modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture.

• Proficiency in SQL and related data query languages.

• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.

• Familiarity with cloud data environments (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, Infor, Databricks).

• Knowledge of data governance principles and regulatory compliance best practices.

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
