Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a collaborative infrastructure team focused on advancing enterprise-wide cloud maturity. In this role, you'll lead key initiatives around the installation, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based applications and systems. You'll contribute to long-term architecture decisions, partner with development teams, and help implement best practices across governance and security.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and define business requirements to determine system specifications and standards
Design, propose, and deploy secure, scalable cloud solutions
Oversee integration of web-based applications ensuring compliance with security standards
Monitor system uptime and performance; troubleshoot and resolve errors
Maintain logs, reports, and audit records for cloud systems
Stay informed on emerging cloud technologies and assess their organizational impact
Partner with development teams to advise on architecture, security, and coding best practices
Implement automated processes for cloud identity, roles, and policy governance
Support a culture of mentoring and continuous improvement within the infrastructure team
Qualifications
5+ years of cloud engineering experience
Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and platforms (AWS strongly preferred)
System administration background with exposure to SQL, Postgres, and/or Linux
Familiarity with cloud networking and infrastructure as code
Experience with scripting and automation (Terraform, Python, PowerShell, or Java)
Strong collaboration, follow-through, and adaptability in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to coach and support technical growth of peers
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
