Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a collaborative infrastructure team focused on advancing enterprise-wide cloud maturity. In this role, you'll lead key initiatives around the installation, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based applications and systems. You'll contribute to long-term architecture decisions, partner with development teams, and help implement best practices across governance and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and define business requirements to determine system specifications and standards

• Design, propose, and deploy secure, scalable cloud solutions

• Oversee integration of web-based applications ensuring compliance with security standards

• Monitor system uptime and performance; troubleshoot and resolve errors

• Maintain logs, reports, and audit records for cloud systems

• Stay informed on emerging cloud technologies and assess their organizational impact

• Partner with development teams to advise on architecture, security, and coding best practices

• Implement automated processes for cloud identity, roles, and policy governance

• Support a culture of mentoring and continuous improvement within the infrastructure team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience

• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and platforms (AWS strongly preferred)

• System administration background with exposure to SQL, Postgres, and/or Linux

• Familiarity with cloud networking and infrastructure as code

• Experience with scripting and automation (Terraform, Python, PowerShell, or Java)

• Strong collaboration, follow-through, and adaptability in a team environment

• Demonstrated ability to coach and support technical growth of peers

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
