Location: Preference for candidates in the Greater Madison, WI or New York, NY areas who can come into the office once a week. Remote candidates across the US will also be considered.
Job Description:
Lead the documentation of essential processes and manage the implementation of functional and technical solutions. Collaborate with business partners and IT leadership to gather requirements, provide guidance, and execute plans that enhance business capabilities and support strategic priorities.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven Agile leadership
- Strong business analysis experience (5+ years)
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience eliciting and documenting requirements from senior stakeholders
- Balanced experience in both Product Owner and Business Analyst roles
- Excellent stakeholder management across Business, IT, and Customer teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including PowerPoint
- Experience with integration and end-to-end solutions (e.g., policy administration systems)
- Proactive problem-solving mindset
- Strong documentation, influencing, and leadership skills
- Experience in process and procedure analysis and mapping
- Led UAT efforts and defect resolution
Technical Skills:
- Experience supporting policy rating, pricing, or actuarial tool projects.
- Experience working with external web development vendors and internal leadership
- Familiarity with insurance policy and form development
- Actuarial or policy rating experience using MS Excel
- Experience resolving defects related to web development platforms and languages
- Exposure to insurance data analytics or AI projects
- Generative or predictive AI experience (e.g., ChatGPT, Azure) is a plus
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between business and IT to drive project delivery
- Conduct daily touchpoints with onshore and offshore teams
- Lead elicitation sessions to define requirements and user stories
- Document user stories and acceptance criteria in Atlassian JIRA
- Update ISO-based insurance forms in Word or LibreOffice
- Create UAT test plans and support business testing
- Triage defects with IT and vendors, and support retesting
