Business Systems Analyst - Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid: Tue/Wed/Thu onsite)
Overview
Seeking a hands-on Business Systems Analyst with strong functional expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. This role will act as the primary IT functional expert, bridging IT and Finance/Operations. The analyst will partner with stakeholders, gather requirements, resolve user issues, and act as a product owner to ensure successful adoption of D365 solutions.
Must-Haves
- 5+ years' hands-on systems experience, including enterprise infrastructure and technologies.
- 3+ years' in-depth functional expertise with Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX), specifically Finance & Accounting / Operations modules.
- Ability to act as product owner: gather requirements, replicate user issues, support regression testing, and train end-users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate business needs into functional/technical specs.
- Experience creating documentation: requirements, functional specs, workflows, and test scripts.
- Effective communication skills; able to partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Experience with ad-hoc reporting, financial dimensions, and supporting process improvements.
Nice-to-Have
- Retail or e-commerce industry experience.
- Exposure to digital transformation or modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the functional SME for D365 F&O in Finance/Operations.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to design and deliver solutions.
- Perform testing, QA, and support regression testing cycles.
- Provide end-user training and support for new features and enhancements.
- Develop ad-hoc reports and perform data analysis as required.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and partner with IT support to resolve them.
