Sr. Data Governance Analyst

Overview
Seeking a highly strategic and consultative Sr. Data Governance Analyst to help define, scale, and implement enterprise-wide data governance processes. This role requires strong analytical ability, the capacity to partner across diverse business units, and the ability to translate complex data issues into actionable governance frameworks. The role will be highly visible, supporting executive priorities and driving enterprise "data coherence" initiatives.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to define and implement governance processes, policies, and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into governance solutions.
  • Experience with tools such as Collibra, data governance dashboards, or similar platforms.
  • Background in financial services, asset/investment management, or related industries (not retail banking).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to influence across teams and at senior levels.
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks, metadata management, and master data management concepts.
  • Exposure to AI governance or interest in contributing to emerging policy frameworks is a plus.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience building dashboards or reporting frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Agile or hybrid delivery models.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards.
