Senior Data Engineer - Social Media Analytics
Overview:
Seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in social media analytics to support data integration and reporting for multiple platforms. This role focuses on extracting, processing, and managing large datasets from YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram APIs to track key performance metrics, trends, and engagement insights.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong Python & SQL expertise (2-3 years minimum in both).
- Experience with social media data APIs (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram).
- ETL/ELT pipeline development for large datasets.
- Cloud data platforms (AWS S3, EC2, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Database management and optimization (PostgreSQL, data lakes, data warehouses).
- Experience in Agile, fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract and process data from social media APIs (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram).
- Develop and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines for data validation and transformation.
- Design and manage database schemas, tables, and views for structured data storage.
- Generate reports and datasets to support analytics and data science models.
- Work with cloud-based storage and big data tools (AWS S3, EC2, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Optimize SQL queries for performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to automate workflows.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Airflow.
- Experience with GenAI, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and Vector Databases.
- Familiarity with social marketing tools (Emplify, Netbase/Quid).
