Senior Data Engineer - Onsite for local Candidates to Los Angeles
Must Haves:
- 7+ years of professional Data Engineering experience
- Strong SQL skills for complex querying and analysis
- Hands-on experience with Airflow and Spark in production environments
- Experience with Snowflake or Databricks
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python, Java, or Scala)
- Content or media industry background is highly desirable
Nice to Have:
- GraphQL API development experience
- AWS or other cloud services knowledge
- Infrastructure-as-Code familiarity
- Data Modeling and Data Warehousing best practices
- Understanding of OLTP vs OLAP environments
- Agile/Scrum experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Airflow and Spark
- Design and manage data solutions with Snowflake or Databricks
- Support data discovery, lineage, governance, and privacy requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics
- Contribute to platform documentation, standards, and best practices
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and adherence to SLAs
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies to improve team processes
