Job Title: Senior Technical (Financial) Writer
Seeking a Senior Technical (Financial) Writer with deep expertise in financial markets, portfolio construction, and asset management to craft clear, engaging, and data-backed content across digital and print platforms. This role requires the ability to synthesize complex investment concepts and data into compelling narratives for a variety of audiences.
Must-Haves:
- Foundational Knowledge of Financial Markets & Asset Management
- Must understand key concepts such as U.S. vs. global/sector classifications, active vs. passive strategies, and financial fundamentals
- Ability to speak credibly with investment directors and interpret technical material
- Strong Storytelling & Editorial Skills
- Ability to synthesize complex, often unstructured input from investment directors into clear, persuasive narratives
- Journalism or financial writing background preferred
- Data Fluency
- Comfortable working with Excel datasets (creating/modifying charts, basic statistical analysis)
- Not expected to build models from scratch, but must bridge understanding between data, designers, and stakeholders
- At least 2-3 years of experience writing in a financial or investment-focused environment.
- Writing samples required for consideration
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and repurpose content for marketing materials, investment reports, web articles, presentations, and email communications.
- Collaborate with investment professionals and stakeholders to gather insights and translate them into impactful written content.
- Use data to support messaging, including analyzing and modeling raw data to extract proof points.
- Ensure content adheres to brand, style, legal, and compliance standards.
- Support content strategy across digital channels including SEO tagging and content management tools.
- Stay current on market trends, financial regulations, and internal product updates.
