IT Network Engineer (Cloud- Azure or GCP Exp).

Overview:
Seeking a hands-on IT Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security across corporate offices, warehouses, and retail locations. The ideal professional is proactive, technically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing LAN/WAN enterprise environments.
  • Strong Cisco networking expertise - configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Cloud networking experience - designing and configuring VPCs, VPNs, and virtual firewalls (preferably Azure or GCP).
  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Dynatrace).
  • Network security knowledge - firewalls, IDS/IPS, ACLs, and VPN management.
  • Certifications: CCNA required; CCNP preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity issues and document configurations clearly.
  • Hands-on mindset - capable of configuring, maintaining, and optimizing systems directly.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.
  • Experience managing network service providers and ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Network+ certification or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and deploy network hardware/software following best practices.
  • Proactively monitor and optimize network performance across all locations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network and connectivity issues.
  • Implement and manage network security controls and protocols.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation and topology diagrams.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to troubleshoot and enhance infrastructure.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and occasional travel to data centers (1-2 times/year).

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid schedule: Onsite Tue-Thu, remote Mon & Fri.
  • Must be local and available for on-site support and occasional after-hours maintenance.
