Automation QA Engineer Location: Onsite in Mesa, Arizona
Overview
Seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer with strong performance testing expertise to join our team in Mesa, AZ. This role requires hands-on skills in designing, executing, and maintaining functional and performance test suites for complex web-based applications in an Agile environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5-7 years of QA experience for web-based applications.
- 5+ years writing detailed test cases and test plans.
- 5+ years working with QA tools such as Azure DevOps/TFS, Selenium WebDriver (C#), and SQL.
- 3+ years of hands-on performance testing experience (UI and APIs) using JMeter.
- Strong knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL and relational database concepts.
- Proven experience working in Agile Scrum environments with iterative development and release management.
- Familiarity with version control and defect tracking systems.
- Ability to analyze defect metrics and clearly communicate findings.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Preferred/Bonus Experience
- Experience with additional performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, Gatling, BlazeMeter, k6, Locust, NeoLoad).
- Familiarity with browser performance tools such as Lighthouse or WebPageTest.
- Experience with API testing and automation frameworks beyond Selenium.
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics in performance testing contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements to design detailed, effective test cases and procedures.
- Perform comprehensive testing, including functional, regression, system integration, end-to-end, UI, API, volume, and performance testing.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
- Investigate test failures, analyze results, and update scripts as needed.
- Clearly document test cases, defects, and results in tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and cross-functional teams to meet quality requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, design reviews, and user meetings.
- Ensure all releases meet defined quality standards.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
