SAP / AP Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

Overview:

Seeking an experienced SAP/AP Business Systems Analyst or Solutions Engineer to support finance technology teams with a focus on Accounts Payable systems. Primary responsibilities include supporting an SAP S4 HANA upgrade, performing functional configuration, and driving end-to-end AP process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into functional solutions.
  • Perform ~30% system configuration and ~70% requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project support.
  • Support the SAP S4 HANA transformation project in partnership with integration vendors.
  • Assist with UAT planning and execution.
  • Provide functional expertise in procure-to-pay, invoice processing, expense reporting, and financial accounting.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver and maintain AP-related technology solutions.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in the SAP Accounts Payable space.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • SAP ECC (required)
    • Ariba (procure-to-pay process)
    • SAP Concur (expense management)
  • Exposure to or experience with SAP S4 HANA
  • Solid understanding of AR/AP/Billing and Procurement business processes.
  • Experience across the full SDLC: requirements gathering, functional design, system configuration, testing, deployment.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience supporting UAT and collaborating with vendors.
  • Understanding of invoice integration, reconciliation, and expense workflows.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Power BI familiarity.
  • Experience engaging stakeholders across multiple regions (e.g., US, Canada, Europe).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to translate technical configurations into clear business terms.
  • Business-process mindset with a focus on solution delivery.
