Title: Scrum Master / Senior Business Data Analyst (Hybrid Role)
Overview:
Seeking a dynamic professional who can operate as both a Scrum Master (70%) and a Senior Business Data Analyst (30%) to support multiple Agile teams working on data-intensive initiatives. The ideal candidate will be skilled at leading Agile execution while also driving business and data analysis across cross-functional efforts.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a blended role involving Scrum Master and Business/Data Analysis
- Proven success managing Agile delivery in a multi-team or SAFe environment
- Strong understanding of data concepts, data modeling, and integration workflows
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
- Hands-on experience with Jira (configuration, dashboards, and metrics)
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity across teams
- Experience working independently and coordinating across departments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent)
- Background in FinTech or financial services
- Prior experience as a Data Analyst or BSA on integration/reporting projects
- Familiarity with SQL or data analysis tools (for understanding data relationships)
- Experience supporting geographically distributed teams
Responsibilities:
Scrum Master (70%)
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, and backlog grooming
- Support 2 of 5 Agile teams while coordinating dependencies across all teams
- Drive sprint execution, track velocity, identify blockers, and remove impediments
- Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a healthy and prioritized backlog
- Coach teams on Agile best practices and contribute to Agile maturity
- Monitor delivery metrics using Jira; create reports and dashboards for visibility
- Own cross-team planning and communication with internal and external partners
Business Data Analyst (30%)
- Gather, document, and refine business and data requirements from stakeholders
- Translate business needs into user stories, data definitions, and acceptance criteria
- Analyze data sets, identify integration points, and support reporting requirements
- Partner with product and business teams to define solutions and support UAT
- Understand sensitive data usage, define data models, and contribute to data strategy
- Document key decisions, meeting outcomes, and backlog items for execution planning
