Technical Project Manager - Product & Production Operations Focus

Seeking a hands-on, product-oriented Technical Project Manager to join a high-impact team supporting the development of next-generation studio technologies, including AI-driven products. This role blends Agile project leadership, product ownership, and engineering operations, driving initiatives from concept through delivery in a fast-paced, research-heavy environment.

You'll work closely with engineers who build cutting-edge production tools, supporting both Product Launch and Engineering Operations across multiple teams. This position requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, excels at transforming broad concepts into actionable plans, and knows how to keep sprint cycles and backlogs sharp, tight, and aligned.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master in a product development or application engineering environment
• Deep hands-on expertise with Jira-managing boards, creating workflows, dashboards, and maintaining sprint artifacts
• Strong experience in Agile methodologies, including backlog management, sprint execution, and velocity tracking
• Proven ability to operate in environments with high ambiguity, research-driven initiatives, and evolving stakeholder needs
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills-able to manage multiple stakeholder expectations and "herd cats" when needed
• Comfortable owning both Product Launch cycles and ongoing engineering operations
• Ability to break down abstract ideas into structured project roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience working with media production teams or production environments
• Background in data analysis or reporting, particularly around engineering output and sprint metrics
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools or R&D environments is a bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of coordination across engineering and product teams, ensuring timely delivery of product launches and operational deliverables.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives; maintain Jira boards, epics, and stories across multiple workstreams.
• Act as a hybrid Product Owner / Scrum Master, translating evolving concepts into sprint-ready tasks and deliverables.
• Keep engineers and stakeholders aligned and on-track by managing sprint metrics (e.g., burn down charts, velocity, task prioritization).
• Drive accountability across multiple product teams and R&D efforts in an environment that often requires working through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with studio production stakeholders to understand requirements, triage requests, and translate those into well-defined engineering tasks.
• Contribute to data-driven project planning through light analysis and reporting using project tracking tools.

Education Requirement

Bachelor's degree in a technical/STEM field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, etc.) preferred
