NOTE: This is a onsite position in Burbank, CA
Seeking a hands-on Unreal Engine Technical Director with a strong foundation in 3D graphics and real-time tool development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in production environments and has experience collaborating with 3D Generalists to build efficient pipelines and workflows.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in pipeline development focused on 3D content creation and integration.
- Proven ability to develop tools in Unreal Engine with Houdini, Maya, and Nuke.
- Solid understanding of 3D graphics fundamentals-including asset integration, shading, rendering, and performance tuning.
- Experience supporting 3D workflows, particularly in real-time production environments (VR, AR, cinematic, or interactive).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide hands-on technical solutions to production teams.
- Proficiency in Blueprint scripting, asset workflows, and debugging within Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for tool and pipeline automation.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of C++ or C#.
- Familiarity with motion capture, virtual production, or character systems.
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub or Perforce.
- Exposure to AI-driven tools, machine learning, or computer vision is a plus.
