Workday Compensation Specialist
Overview
Seeking a senior-level Compensation professional with deep Workday Advanced Compensation expertise to partner with executives, design and optimize compensation strategies, and lead cyclical compensation processes. This role bridges strategic consulting with technical Workday configuration, serving as a trusted advisor to HR and business leadership.
Must-Haves
- Proven experience in compensation strategy and program design (base pay, annual incentives, sales compensation, executive compensation).
- Strong ability to consult and influence senior leaders and HR partners on compensation matters.
- Hands-on expertise with Workday Advanced Compensation (plan design, event management, reporting, optimization).
- Advanced analytical skills: compensation modeling, market benchmarking, forecasting, and data visualization (Excel, Tableau, Workday reporting).
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex compensation concepts into clear communication for managers, HR, and employees.
- Experience leading cyclical compensation processes (merit, bonus administration, market studies).
- Leadership presence with ability to mentor and guide junior compensation staff.
- Workday Advanced Compensation certification preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior management and HR to design, recommend, and implement compensation strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead cyclical compensation processes including merit reviews, incentive planning, and market benchmarking.
- Optimize and manage Workday Advanced Compensation functionality to streamline compensation processes.
- Conduct complex compensation modeling and analysis, presenting insights and alternatives to leadership.
- Provide consultative guidance during organizational changes, reorganizations, or new business initiatives.
- Develop and deliver educational materials and communications to ensure clarity on compensation programs.
- Act as the Workday compensation SME and trusted advisor for the business and HR partners.
