Beacon Hill Legal's client, a national law firm, is seeking an experienced Word Processor for an open-ended contract.

Candidates must have advanced Microsoft Word skills with proven expertise in creating and troubleshooting Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA).

The candidate hired must be able to work remotely between the hours of 9pm-5:30pm daily. Pay rate is dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, formatting, reviewing, as well as correcting large complex legal documents using MS Word.
  • Scanning, reformatting, and transcribing legal documents.
  • Conversion of documents using Adobe Acrobat and/or PDF Scansoft products.
  • Preparing and submitting documents for electronic filing in various state and federal courts
  • Troubleshooting and repairing complex documents.
  • Complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with special projects as required.
  • Responsible for input and revisions from handwritten, typed, converted, or scanned materials using Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.

Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Advanced knowledge of MS WORD (Styles, Templates, Forms, Table of Contents, Table of Authorities), Workshare Compare.
    • Advanced knowledge of Best Authority and Litera NTD
    • Must have a working knowledge of document management systems Adobe Acrobat and/or PDF Scansoft products, Best Authority TOA program
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word)

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in law firm or another professional services environment
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
