Title: Senior Salesforce Engineer

Location: REMOTE (Central Time)

Type: Contract: 12+ Months

Overview:

A collaborative product-focused team is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer with a strong technical background and a proactive, communicative mindset. This team is heavily based around Salesforce (Apex and LWC development) and they are also tasked with supporting and building lightweight Java-based applications that serve as integration points to Salesforce.

This is an opportunity to join a growing, technically strong team where development practices are evolving towards modern, structured, and product-aligned delivery.

Team Responsibilities:

  • Manage and enhance Salesforce CRM applications.
  • Support and build lightweight Java applications that perform data integration tasks using technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and REST APIs.
  • Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Drive structured, maintainable code practices across Salesforce and Java systems.
  • Participate in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment with daily standups and regular team code reviews.

  • Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows
  • Java
  • REST APIs, Kafka, RabbitMQ
  • DevOps with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
  • Jest or other automation testing frameworks (Selenium, Playwright)

What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement scalable, structured Salesforce solutions using modern best practices.
  • Collaborate actively with other engineers, product owners, and scrum masters in an agile product team.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, provide solutioning options, and help drive forward DevOps practices within the team.
  • Support internal Salesforce implementations and contribute to enterprise-level development and maintenance efforts.
  • Create and manage automated tests, maintain code quality, and ensure alignment with enterprise integration requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Deep Salesforce platform experience.
  • Experience with enterprise-grade Salesforce projects that required collaboration across departments.
  • Strong Java knowledge sufficient for maintaining and enhancing simple microservice-style applications.
  • Comfortable with CI/CD, Git branching strategies, packaging, and DevOps concepts.
  • Skilled in automation testing with Jest or similar frameworks.
  • Proactive communicator who contributes ideas, seeks feedback, and works well within a cross-functional team.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Background in the financial services industry or working with product models is a plus.
